Hi again!

All right, so I got through all the Oovoo set-up, and it's really pretty straightforward.

Go to www.oovoo.com and click on "Get Oovoo".

Follow the prompts to download the program.  It only took me a couple of minutes until it was ready.

Fill out the form to make your username and password.  Go through their prompts.

Once you're all set up, look for me as a friend/contact under "ellenkrasin".

If you'd like to test run with me before the shower, let me know, and we'll give it a go!

One of the challenges of a virtual baby shower is that it makes it a lot harder to play games, but we'll have a few here this week that hopefully we can have some fun with!  And I know you have internet, but no cheating by Googling the answers!  ;)

Almost time for the shower! Which reminds me...the shower time...

Hi everyone!

Sorry that I didn't get this posted earlier, but for some reason, my connection on vacation wouldn't let me log into the blog!

Anyhow, the shower is THIS SATURDAY already, and I wanted to put out the time for everyone.  It will take place at 1:00 CA time, so 3:00 here in Chicagoland, and 4:00 for those of you in MI and eastern.

Please let me know if you will be swinging by my place to join in, and there is a Michigan gathering as well, so let me know if you would like to get in touch with that group and I'll arrange it.

Hopefully by tomorrow I will have all the Oovoo stuff worked out and set up so that you can test it out before the shower as well.

Baby Stats Pool

Hello again!

No shower would be complete without people speculating on when the baby will be born, how much he will weigh, what we will look like, etc.  So, seeing how this is an internet-bases shower, I've set up a web-based pool for guessing all that fun stuff!

It's at Bellybets.  You'll need to create a login, and then our gameboard number is 1001445.   Join in, and guess away!  Here's a gimmie:  they are having a boy!  ;)

Thanks for joining our baby shower for Linda and Chris!  With friends and family all over the states (and the globe, really), and Linda and Chris being out in California, it seemed that an internet shower would be the best way to still show them love and support on their journey, even if we can't all get together in person.  We'll be using this blog to play games, chat, and celebrate this new adventure, just like we would if we were able to be together.  

We're also planning a video-chat shower, date TBA.
